Background
The Gallery Youth Project was set up in 1996. The need for the project was identified as a direct response to consultation with young people in the Alnwick area requesting somewhere where they could meet their friends. In its early stages the project ran evening drop-in sessions. However, as a result of changing and adapting to meet the needs of young people, it now offers a wider range of additional services which include development and group-work, floating support and advice to young people in housing need, advice and information sessions and an exciting menu of activities and opportunities for young people in the Alnwick area.
As a young people's project, it is always trying to think of new ways of tackling issues.
